The places where we live, work, learn and play can have a significant impact on our health. According to the National Association of Community Health Centers, about 80 percent of a person’s health status can be attributed to nonmedical factors such as the physical environment and access to employment. In this issue we look at how some of our network organizations are integrating health into their work, which ranges from ridding homes of lead to sponsoring Zumba classes.
