May is National Home Improvement Month, in recognition of the homeowners across the country who regularly must tackle a variety of remodeling projects. These efforts range from simple tasks like sprucing up a room with a coat of paint to more complex jobs such as renovating a kitchen or adding a room.

NeighborWorks organizations offer a number of programs that help homeowners complete much needed-repairs to their homes. The stories in this issue highlight how rehab efforts can provide a boost to entire neighborhoods.
